Taxonomy

The Alation article taxonomy is a visual display of the article hierarchy. Taxonomy displays the relationship between articles that are directly connected through the Add Child button.

In the Articles section of the left-hand navigation menu, click Taxonomy to view articles that are added to a hierarchy.

On the screenshot above, “Healthcare” is the parent article and “IPPS Payment Rates”, “Inpatient Prospective Payment Systems (IPPS)” and “National Provider Identifier (NPI)” are its child articles. All these articles form the “Healthcare” article taxonomy.
